What Does Peace Look Like? / Creative Artist AssocationQuinton Elston Foreman, born in Birmingham, Alabama grew up on Chicagos South Side. Ive always been interested in the creative process and am ever open to new ideas and mediums of creative expression. Ive worked in stained glass, mosaics, acrylics, oils, charcoals, pastels, photography, graphite, ink, collage, limestone sculpture and who knows whats next.
I like using Diverse Symbols in some of my work symbols which promote belief in God, hard work, strength in family and concern for our fellow man. Somehow it makes me feel close to the source. While I used to feel African Americans were cast in a negative light by the media, I now believe we have the power and the responsibility to effect change for ourselves without permission. I believe we have advanced through struggles and triumphs and now I want the development, harmony and beauty of it to be reflected in my work. I want you to look at it and be blessed.
